A lesson for the organization and use of a fully equiped First Aid kit was held for the Teenage Rescuers.

Another lesson was held yesterday for the Mountain Rescue Department of EPOMEA Egaleo. Trainees practiced knots, anchorages and multipaths. Mr Pervelis Panagiotis, diving and water rescue instructor of the Hellenic Air Force, conducted a 3- hour theoretical lesson on rescue diving, followed by a brief seminar on water rescue for our newest volunteers.
The second lesson contained basic principles and rules of proper diving behavior and presented the necessary equipment of a diver and its use.

With the guidance of assistant trainer and General Secretary of EPOMEA, Mr Stylianos Sylaidis, the attendees were guided through basic actions that anyone must know for the provision of First Aid .
Mr Pervelis Panagiotis, Officer of Hellenic Air Force guided EPOMEA's newest volunteer recruits through the basic knowledge of water rescue.
He explained in detail how to handle an emergency situation, the way to approach a victim as well as the actions that must be performed before and after rescuing procedures.
On Saturday 04/01/2017 at the premises of EP.OM.E.A. Egaleo an educational seminar was held on Basic Life Support with the use of an automatic external defibrillator (BLS / AED).
The seminar included mainly practical exercises from experienced and certified trainers of the European Resuscitation Council (ERC).
At the end of the seminar, an examination was held, in accordance with European standards as defined by the ERC and the laureates received their certifications.
Our newest recruits had their first aquaintance with the tools and components of a fire engine during yesteday's class.
Presented by three men for the fire service of the 2nd Fire Station, Municipality of Athens, volunteers were educated on
the uses and the function of basic firefighting equipment.
Our volunteer's training will continue at the Fire Fighting Academy where, in a few days, the 2017 educational program will
open, on the subjects of Forest preservation and Wildfire suppression.
Continuation of theoretical lessons in Rope and Mountain Rescue department, where trainees. with the help of older members and direction from trainers Mr. Kasiotis Vasilios and Mr. Kominakis Dimitrios, became familiar with basic knot tying techniques and their functions.
