Award Volunteer Civil Protection Groups by Region of Attica - EP.OM.E.A. Egaleo
EPOMEA Egaleo was present yesterday, February 15 of 2017, in the award event organized by the Region of Attica, for the citation of civil protection volunteer teams of Attica. Represantitive of EPOMEA Egaleo and president of the team Mr Roumeliotis George was awarded by the Chief of Fire Unit Mr Vasileios Kapelios.
The awarding event of Independent Directorate for Civil Protection, Region of Attica, was organized by the Authorized Regional Councelor of Civil Protection matters Mrs Ioanna Tsoupra.
Governor of Attica Mrs Rena Dourou expressed her gratitude to the volunteer teams of civil protection for the unconditional offering of their services in the region of Attica. sent "a big 'thank you' to the volunteers performing with abnegation and selflessness, work irreplaceable." Noting, inter alia, that "volunteering is not an obligation but a choice........ I have never been a supporter of the view that volunteering can replace everything, let alone structures of a well-governed state, for the proper operation of which has never been genuine concern.
