 Training of EPOMEA members participating from teams all over Greece with the Mobile Team of Emergency Responce of the Hellenic Air Force, as well as the Mobile Team for Preservation of Sea-based facilities, came to its resounding success at the 206 Aviation Infrastructure Wing. Twenty eight members were trained on heavy rescue machinery,extrication of victims under collapsed rubble and urban rope rescue, whereas members of the water rescue team were informed of the nature of underwater operations and the communication codes of divers. We would like to express our sincerest gratitute to the commander of the 206 AIW Brigadier General Beldekos George, the Commander of Mobile Units Captain Lalousis George,the Head Chief of KOMAK and the trainers who gave their best performance to instill their knowledge to our volunteers. Members from teams Egaleo, Thessalonica, Larisa, Volos and Ikaria took part in the training. For the new year, educational seminars have been organised for the volunteers with the greek Navy, abroad in Malta and England and finally two mountain rescue classes in Larisa and Olympus.
