On July 25, 2017, at 09: 00-17: 00 at the TUV AUSTRIA ACADEMY a "BLS / AED, ERC" Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (BLS / AED) seminar will be held, based on the provision of certified basic knowledge and training for the use of Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) using the Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) in cases of cardiac arrest in adults, according to the new guidelines of the European Resuscitation Council (ERC). It is addressed to all Citizens, Students, Paramedics, Members of Voluntary Rescue Groups, Security Bodies etc. The seminar has a total duration of 5 hours, is approved and certified by the European Resuscitation Council (ERC). A concert in favor of solidarity for the people of Palestine had the opportunity to cover the volunteers of EPOMEA at Vrahon Theater.
The event was organized under the auspices of the Diplomatic Delegation of the Palestine State in Athens and with the support of the Municipality of Vyronas in cooperation with many agencies.
The Youth Orchestra of Banat al-Quds, the National Music Conservatoire, Edward Said of Palestine, "The Daughters of Jerusalem" played and sang in the event, who cheered us with their voices.
Maria Sultatou also performed with them.
The goal of the performers was to pass through their music a message of peace, freedom, dignity and love, guided by the slogan: "IN THIS EARTH THERE ARE REASONS THAT MAKE LIVE WORTH LIVING ".
With the participation of many well-known artists, a concert dedicated to Yannis Spanos was performed at the Vrahon Theater "Melina Merkouri" of the Municipality of Vyronas. The was held to celebrate the 60 years of the composer's journey. The warmest weekend of summer was spent by EPOMEA members on Mount Olympus, the mountain of the Olympic gods. Members of the Elite Team Special Missions of Egaleo and Volos camped for two days at the Christakis Shelter at 2,450m along with visitors of EPOMEA from Thessaloniki and Larissa. The program included an ascent to Kakoskala to the top of Skolios at an altitude of 2,912 m. The experience was unique and the images we saw were simply divine!Read more
Municipal Conservatory The International Petra Festival continues, as well as its cooperation with EPOMEA. The classical music department of the Municipal Conservatory of Petroupolis with the Symphonic Orchestra of Teachers and Students, members of the Choir and the departments of both Beginners and Advanced of the Conservatory presented a program with musical pieces and works of well-known composers.Read more
Gregoris Vassilas & the Core band, presented a tribute to Apostolos Kaldaras's work on Wednesday, June 28, at the Petra Theater in the City of Petroupolis. The event was attended by the famous news spokesman Nikos Hatzinikolaou, nephew of the composer, who recited the anthologies about his work and his life, as well as Paris Mitsos who attended as a presenter and Stavroula Manolopoulou and Thodoris Meringas, who sang his most successful hits. Concert Spectators enjoyed a musical trip with the very special Michalis Tzouganakis as their guide at the Petra Theater in the City of Petroupolis. The event was organized by the Cretan Association of Petroupolis "Megalonissos" in collaboration with the Municipality of Petroupoli. The last lesson was held for the Teenage Rescue School of EPOMEA Egaleo in full attendance, on how to Immobilize an injured victim with the use of a neck collar and a vest. The program ended with the best impressions for everyone. We would like to congratulate all the children on their performance and attention and we renew our appointment on October with a new class for Teenage Rescuers. As part of the actions and measures taken by the General Secretariat of Civil Protection in order to limit the risk of forest fires during the summer months, EPOMEA members, with the support of the Municipality of Egaleo, carries out daily patrols during the afternoon hours at the Municipal Park “Baroutadiko” (in earlier years the a gun- powder factory was built in the vicinity, thus the name of the park), one of the few green lungs of Western Athens. All Volunteers have attended the Fire Protection Academy training program on the subjects of forest protection and fire-fighting for members of the Volunteer Organizations of the GSCP Registry.Read more

Dance nights continue in many parts of Greece. One of those nights took place yesterday at the Petra Theater in the City of Petroupolis. The classes of rhythmic gymnastics, psychomotor education and Latin American dances of the Municipality, presented their students and a year's worth of knowledge, as they gave their best performance, attracting many viewers. Always true to their duty, EPOMEA Volunteers were present for first aid provision in case of an emergency.Read more
