In a celebrative mood the new rescue manual of EVOLSAR was presented on the last International Conference in Malta. The manual is directed to the Volunteer Rescuer
giving him or her the guidelines on rescuing techniques and the confrontation of emergencies and crises.
The event was honored by the presence of 15 rescue teams from 15 different countries, representative from Public Relations and Organizations as well as Mr Carmelo Abela, Minister for Home Affairs and National Security of Malta.
Another lesson was held yesterday for the Mountain Rescue Department of EPOMEA Egaleo. Trainees practiced knots, anchorages and multipaths. They also met the operation of the trip / descend tripod, which is one of the most important rescue tools. An unforgettable three-day trip was spent by ΕPOMEA members, in the prefecture of Larissa where they were hosted by the respective team. The occasion was the "5th Kissavos Road Tour 2017" cycling race, in the fascinating location of Kissavos for the first aid provision and coverage of the race by the combined strength of EPOMEA teams Larissa, Egaleo, Volos and Pavlos Melas.Read more
Mr Pervelis Panagiotis, diving and water rescue instructor of the Hellenic Air Force, conducted a 3- hour theoretical lesson on rescue diving, followed by a brief seminar on water rescue for our newest volunteers.
The second lesson contained basic principles and rules of proper diving behavior and presented the necessary equipment of a diver and its use.
The Training Program of the Fire Brigade Academy for Forest Protection and Fire Fighting is in progress for members of the Voluntary Organizations of the General Secretariat of Civil Protection.Read more
The Vintage Toys Convention – Bazaar was concluded at the cultural venue of Tehnopolis, Municipality of Athens at Gazi, where adults dived in nostalgia and youngsters palyed with toys of another time such as retro games, computers and consoles (Amstrad, Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum, Amiga, Mega Drive, Saturn, Dreamcast), Subbuteo, board games, Lego, dolls, Playmobil and the car of General Lee from all time classic TV show The Dukes of Hazzard. Once more, students and teachers of 7th grade of the 5th General High School of Egaleo had the opportunity to attend a seminar on first aid at the school’s amphitheater on Thursday April 6th.
Students and Teachers of 3rd Evening School of Agioi Anargiroi had the opportunity to attend a different and most interesting lesson .
With the guidance of assistant trainer and General Secretary of EPOMEA, Mr Stylianos Sylaidis, the attendees were guided through basic actions that anyone must know for the provision of First Aid .

Mr Pervelis Panagiotis, Officer of Hellenic Air Force guided EPOMEA's newest volunteer recruits through the basic knowledge of water rescue.
He explained in detail how to handle an emergency situation, the way to approach a victim as well as the actions that must be performed before and after rescuing procedures.
The event of enviromental awareness and tree planting came to its successfull conclusion at Poikilo hill of Petroupoli where volunteers of EPOMEA provided first aid for all attendees.Read more
On Saturday 04/01/2017 at the premises of EP.OM.E.A. Egaleo an educational seminar was held on Basic Life Support with the use of an automatic external defibrillator (BLS / AED).
The seminar included mainly practical exercises from experienced and certified trainers of the European Resuscitation Council (ERC).
At the end of the seminar, an examination was held, in accordance with European standards as defined by the ERC and the laureates received their certifications.
