On Monday 23/1/2017 the cutting of the annual New Year's cake of the political group "Nea Epohi" was celebrated in full attendance at the cultural center "Giannis Ritsos". The event opened the Head of the Municipal Political Group Mr Lampros Sklavounos, who thanked the attendees and mentioned the situation and the difficulties in governing the municipality of Egaleo.
The event was honored by the presence of friend of the political group, civilians and representatives of other municipalities and bodies.
On Monday 23-01-2017, at 19:45, our volunteers will have the opportunity to attend a lesson given by Dr Nikolaos Zisis, Orthopedics Surgeon. On Wednesday 25-01-2017 at 19:45, a lecture will be given by the former Chief of Decentralized Administration of Civil Protection, Macedonia and Thrace.
All our members can and are encouraged to attend these lectures.
The annual cutting of the New Year's cake (Vasilopita) for EPOMEA Thessaloniki took place in the shelter of Hortiatis mountain. The ceremony was honoured by the presence of President of EPOMEA Egaleo and Vice President of EPOMEA Greece, Mr Roumeliotis George and of Vice President of EPOMEA Egaleo, Mr Lahanas Konstantinos, along with members of their team.

The Municipal political group "Anaplasis Egaleo" held the anuall celebration for the cutting of New Year's cake on Sunday 15/1/2017.
EPOMEA Egaleo was invited also to this event.
A most generous and moving gesture was performed by the Municipal Councelor and representative of political group " Ora Egaleo" Mr. Ilias Mandros dedicated his piece to Debuty Mayor of Civil Protection and Hygiene Management mr Nikitakis Nikolaos and congratulated him for addressing the problems that have occurred since the recent snowfall and the excellent cooperation of the stakeholders (Municipality, Region, Voluntary Groups).
But due to the combined efforts of EPOMEA, the Region of Attica and of the Municipality of Egaleo, the night came to an auspicious conclusion.
Minor inconvenience was caused to the transportation of citizens and vehicles, a matter that ended swiftly.
EPOMEA is once again ready to deploy.
In collaboration with the Municipality of Egaleo, the team will be on alert during the night to aid and confront any possible damage.
EPOMEA Egaleo was specially awarded during the cutting of the annual New Year's cake of the Athletic Cultural Association «Apollo» of Western Attica, for the team'collaboration collaboration during the athletic run events organized by the association.
