With great success the 3rd voluntary blood donation of EPOMEA was completed . I will open on Wednesday 15-1-2020. Many volunteers practiced their love for fellow human beings and volunteering.
But what are the benefits to the volunteer donor himself?
As Dr. Russos Georgios, head of the medical team who performed the blood donation, explained to us, the benefits are:
A. A drop in blood pressure as the blood volume decreases. Consequently, better blood circulation results in a reduced chance of stroke and heart attack.
B. Faster renewal of red blood cells.
C. Reduce the likelihood of cancer as blood donation reduces iron in the blood. Elevated levels of iron in the blood have been linked to an increased risk of cancer.
D. Finally, before the blood donation the volunteer blood donor goes through a mini check up. His or her blood pressure and the hematocrit are measured.
And all this in 20-30 minutes.
Become a blood donor. Give life. it is in your blood.
