Volunteers of Elite Special Task Force Greece (EP.OM.E.A.) - branches of Egaleo, Thessaloniki, Volos and Pavlos Melas (Thessaloniki) - took part in the joint international rescue exercise entitled "RESCUE 2016" organized by the European Association of Civil Protection Volunteer Teams (EVOLSAR) on 22nd – 25th April 2016, in Soverato, Calabria, Italy.

With the assistance of the Municipality of Egaleo, and the charity blanket donation of WAHA, as a team partner of EP.OM.E.A. Greece, five hundred (500) blankets have already been shipped to Chios island in order to be distributed there to cover refugees' needs.
